The new feed in tariff system has arrived in the ACT! This means that people will be paid a premium ($0.5005kWh) for all the power they feed into the grid. It is NOT affected by the amount of power the producer uses. This scheme is aimed at making it even more affordable to produce clean, green power.... the way it should be. These audits will assist schools in identifying the best energy efficiency outcomes they can achieve with their National Solar Schools Program funding by identifying the areas and types of measures best suited to their specific circumstances. Schools should hold off preparing or submitting claims for NSSP funding until an environmental audit has been completed at their premises. Schools should contact John Bayliss in DET to discuss the timing of their audit and details of their proposed claim before submitting it to the NSSP. Accordingly, the NSSP team will not process any individual claims from ACT schools unless approval of the project is received from DET to proceed with that school's individual claim. For any questions, or to seek approval to submit an individual claim, you should contact DET on: Phone (02) 6205 9125 Email: john.bayliss@act.gov.au To organise an obligation-free quotation for your school please call and arrange for our professional installation manager to visit.
